Malacañang appealed to the Hong Kong administration yesterday to stop further politicizing the hostage crisis in Manila on Aug. 23, 2010. The Palace said both sides must move on and the Philippines had already taken steps to ensure the safety of foreign tourists in the country.
In a press briefing in Malacañang, presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda also expressed reservations over the request of relatives of the eight Hong Kong tourists killed in the tragedy, and the family of a slain tour guide to meet President Aquino when they visit Manila.
